A husband and wife who have spent our marriage building a life around medicine, and learning that medicine never affects just the person wearing the white coat.
Hannah is an OBGYN. Chris is an entrepreneur, investor, and former marketing executive. Together, we're raising two boys and building Other Side Med around the conversations we wish more families were having.
Medicine changed more than our careers.
We got married five months before residency started.
What followed was years of call schedules, missed time together, career changes, financial pressure, parenting, and trying to build a marriage inside a system that often takes more than it gives.
We realized there were thousands of families living some version of the same story, but very few places talking honestly about it.
Medicine became personal in an entirely different way.
Our second son, Oliver, was born prematurely and was later diagnosed with ReNU Syndrome, an ultra rare genetic disorder.
Suddenly, we weren't experiencing healthcare as a physician family. We were experiencing it as parents.
Learning to advocate for a child who experiences the world differently than we ever expected.
And once again, we found ourselves searching for honest conversations from families actually living it.
Today, disability, caregiving, and medically complex parenting aren't separate from our story. They're part of it.

Other Side Med has grown beyond the residency experience that started it.
Today, we're building a media and community brand for the families whose lives are shaped by medicine and disability.
We tell honest stories. We create practical resources. We talk about medicine, marriage, parenting, money, identity, faith, and disability.
Because we still believe what we learned during residency:
